Pat Carson

Pat, founder of Carson & Crew, has been in the accounting “game” for more than 30 years. She holds a BBA, major in Accounting, from Idaho State University. She has been an Enrolled Agent since 1979, and maintains active status.

Her certifications include: QuickBooksCertified ProAdvisor, and Sleeter Group Certification. She has extensive experience with Peachtree, QuickBooks , Quickbooks add-ons and integration products, and PCMRP. She is a CIT (Construction Industry Technician), and has taught the Business Management portion in preparation for the Contractor’s State License Exam.

Currently, she teaches Computerized Accounting, with Quickbooks, at San Jose City College. She also is part of the book team for Quickbooks Complete textbook by Doug Sleeter. She has been a QuickBooks Enterprise Solution Provider since inception of the program, and is a member of the Intuit Accountant Speakers Bureau.

Helping small – and growing – businesses manage their accounting and staff training has been her life’s work. You can often find her in the office after hours. Pat’s motivation in life is this business, but she often likes “crafty” projects when time allows.

Neal Hanson

Neal Hanson has been with Carson & Crew since March, 2001. He holds an AA degree, with honors, in Accounting from Heald College. His work history in accounting goes back to 1998, with Peachtree, QuickBooks, and PCMRP. He became a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor in 2002.

Neal works with weekly and monthly bookkeeping clients to ensure timely met deadlines and accurate data entry. He is well known for his experience with nonprofit clients. He grew up in the Bay area, and is an avid sports fan. You can often find him at soccer, hockey, football and baseball games.

Sue Scribner

Sue Scribner joined Carson & Crew in 2003. Her extensive background and expertise in bookkeeping for small businesses has enhanced the services we offer. She attended San Jose State University, with a major in accounting, and is a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor, and Certified member of the Sleeter Group.

Sue handles new client setup, trouble-shooting and ongoing accounting both on site and virtual. She can be found using her skills creatively to solve client issues to help their businesses run smoothly and more efficiently. She saves time and money for clients and sets them at ease with her talents. She has lived most of her life in the Bay Area, and supports the sports endeavors of her two sons.

Karen Bertrand

Karen Bertrand joined Carson & Crew in 2005. She comes to us with 45 years of administrative support experience working for various companies in the Santa Clara Valley. Her experience includes such businesses as banking, high tech, graphic design, and most recently landscape development. She is a graduate of Heald Business College.

Karen works behind the scenes administering the office flow and helping where needed with data entry and account reconciliation for our clients. She has lived in the Bay Area most of her adult life and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, gardening, sewing and reading.
